Information Control- The Governing Bodies Way of Controlling JW ' s
by flipper inby now , most of you have probably been aware that the watchtower society and governing body has done a real cover up on the child abuse scandal that came out this year .
it has truly been amazing , that in spite of nbc news coverage of the child abuse crisis in the organization - probably 90 to 95 % of jehovah's witnesses did not know it even took place or happened at all .
the governing bodies way of exercising " information control " on the jehovah's witness rank and file members !

Hi Flipper, Haven't been here for a while because of my mother but I'm glad that people like you are keeping these issues, such as the child abuse in the forefront. I keep these threads in a folder for future references. Hopefully I will be able to show my mother my findings and I thank you and all those who contributed.
I felt the Charlie Chaplin movie shows the absurdity, to the extreme, of controlling people by keeping them busy with mindless tasks. I thought it was funny when he went for a smoke and couldn't even have privacy in the bathroom, big brother watching their every move.
My understanding is that Rutherford was ruthless and probably had no sense of humour. But who knows maybe he did, in a sadistic way could he have been laughing at all the people that followed "him"?

Observation of WT during Assembly

- they did a very good job saying how anything that is not 'of jehovah' is worldly and from the devil.

The JW org can say all they want that they are the only true church and that all others are of the devil. It doesn't make it true. I know that they aren't and will go further and state that they are a falsehood, persecuting those they claim are persecuting them, Christians. My mother does not have a peaceful faith. Her faith is not in God but in this Org. It used to bother me that my mother would think that we had no hope of eternal life because we didn't belong to this org, but I have since found out that she doesn't even believe this. I have never been a witness but I sense that this org has replaced Jesus. I don't know if they are in competition with Jesus or whether they feel it would be divided loyalties to believe in both God and Jesus. They seem to deny him re Salvation, Mediator, the Memorial, his birth. How are we saved? The JW's believe to be saved they must come to the org but Jesus said to come to him. Where shall we go? We go to Jesus. I think these bible verses speak for themselves. John 14:6-Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my father as well. John 3:16 & 18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.........Whovever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. But whoever rejects the Son will not see life... John 5:39 You diligently study the scriptures because you think that by them you posess eternal life. These are the scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. John 6:28-29 What must we do to do the works God requires: Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. John 6:40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Acts 4:11 Salvation is found in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 11:26 The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. (not Jehovah Witnesses) Acts 26:13-18 (Saul/Paul on the way to Damascus) I saw a light from heaven, brigher than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? ....then I asked, Who are you, Lord? But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned. 1 Tim 3:6 This is good and pleases God our Saviour who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men. Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

I just hope there's plenty of antibacterial cleanser and that they clean thoroughly when they are done. Are they only allowed to use one hand to clean? Hopefully women aren't required to do this. It just seems too ridiculous; that it's just a rumour. For what reason would they be required to do this? Would they also copulate this way, or is just about feces. I'm glad I finished my lunch. If this is true then I think for sanitary reasons alone it should be taken seriously.

For years, practising muslims at UBC such as Alsalman have gathered in public washrooms at Brock Hall up to five times each day to carefully wash their hands, face and feet in preparation for daily prayers.
It's a necessary ritual, symbolizing the cleansing of body and soul prior to prayer, said Alsalman.
It's also been messy.
Students, he said, must hop on one foot, holding the other up to waist-high sinks, all the while keeping a hand on the faucet in order to keep the water flowing.
It's not uncommon for water to spill all over the floor -- an inconvenience for everyone using the interfaith facility.
"We have had complaints in the past," Alsalman said.

Hi Mary,
Not being a witness I was struck by the fact that JW’s don’t believe that Jesus is Mediator for all, but just for the 144,000. I get the sense though that not all witnesses realize this fact. The Memorial-not partaking if you’re not of the 144,000. Also a former witness suggested I get a Kingdom Interlinear. I would also suggest having another bible besides the NWT. (even for comparisons between the two-there’s websites that can give you that info)
They have really downgraded Jesus and lifted the Org up; that this Org is Mediator for most JW’s. They don’t celebrate Jesus’s birth, believe He’s just an angel, Michael the Archangel, when Hebrews clearly shows that Jesus is above the angels and to be worshipped.
I personally would ask her the questions; if what she believed agrees with the JW teaching. Might not seems as intimidating. I would also pray for guidance. Sometimes we take control and possibly sabotage it, for the moment anyway. We really can’t convince anyone of the truth. A person really has to be ready and open to it.
